Originally from Iran, Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi began their music career in Washington, D.C. in the early '90s. Collaborations with Brian Transeua (BT) and Detroit's Carl Craig, and with Danny Tenaglia's help getting them signed to Tribal America, the duo quickly became a dance club favorite. Tracks like "Mohammed Is Jesus" and their double disc "Renaissance Ibiza" (2000) reveal a reoccurring religion theme and indeed, their hypnotic and progressive House can truly be a spiritual experience.
