CHUCK WILEY Vinyl Records and CDs

Born Charles Estel Wiley, 24 December 1937, Cattlesburg, Kentucky. Chuck Wiley was one of the true mysteries of the original 50s rock and roll scene. During the period 1957-1959 he recorded about twenty songs. Six singles have been published on four different labels: Spangle (including a single attributed to The Rock-Its), United Artists (licensed by Spangle), Jax and MusiCenter. In Evansville, Indiana, he changed his name to Johnny K. and was signed to Epic Records in 1969. He played on show with Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Rich, BJ Thomas and opened for Jimi Hendrix, who died 'next year. He recorded at least 25 songs for Epic, but only three singles were released in 1969-1971, including the remakes of "I Love You So Much" and "Right By My Side" credited to Johnny K. Wiley.
