Born December 7, 1879 in Prague (Bohemia, former Austro-Hungarian Empire, presently Czech Republic), died November 12, 1972 in Los Angeles, USA. Also known as Charles Rudolf Friml and Roderick Freeman.
Student of Antonín Dvořák at the Prague Conservatory. Brother-in-law of Karel Hašler.
