A member of the groundbreaking Shaolin strike force known as the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface debuted on the Wu's 1993 masterpiece Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. Well-known for his bugged-out but advanced rhyme style and cryptic terminology, he spit jaw-dropping rhymes with Raekwon on the criminology-themed Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... (1995). In '96 he dropped his first solo album Ironman, named after his Tony Starks alter ego. The record reconfirmed Ghost's astonishing mic skills, and featured a slew of classic jams such as "Daytona 500" and "All That I Got Is You," a tear-jerker duet with Mary J. Blige. He continued to appear on other Wu-related albums, and in 2000 hit off fiending fans with his second solo LP Supreme Clientele -- another stellar work fuelled by the hit "Cherchez La Ghost." Many listeners felt it was the best Wu album in years, paving the way for their underappreciated The W. Ghost also collaborated with Mos Def for "Ms. Fat Booty 2," and in late 2001 released his third solo album Bulletproof Wallets.
