A handful of boys from Kansas who rock very hard, Pillar are appropriately both a pillar of faith and a pillar in the hard rock community. Their redemptive themes and over-burnished, moody metal and rapcore, have given them a well-earned place on mainstream HR charts. Likened to the sounds of P.O.D., Further Seems Forever, Spoken and Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar are growing increasingly esteemed for their straight-up musicianship. Melodies are superior; lyrics are surprisingly clear and intelligible, keeping their gorgeous language from getting lost in the wired metal.
