During the tacky 1970s, wine wasn't the only thing put on the rocks. Hard Bop sax man and flutist Joe Farrell hit the Watergate Decade running in Chick Corea's band Return to Forever, along with a series of strong crossover albums on the Creed Taylor International label. Farrell died young, before he could reboot his career in the neo-Bop '80s and '90s.
