Los Angeles emcee, originally known as MC Candy Man in the mid/late-80's. Teaming up with Fila Al, who had just founded his independent King Quality Records, they released a couple of records with production help from the west coast Zulu Nation (Afrika Islam & Ice-T). Briefly and loosely affilated with the N.W.A. clique, Candyman can even be seen on the cover of the group's first album (see [r=246729]). Eventually Candyman's demo tape of the track "Knockin' Boots" landed the artist a deal onto Epic where he dropped a couple of albums.
