Born on March 29, 1943 in Agria, Greece, Died from complications due to treatment of COVID-19 on May 17, 2022 in a Paris, France hospital. Vangelis started writing music when he was 4 and performed his first live concert at age 6.
He started his career as a member of . In the sixties, he was a founding member of Aphrodite's Child along with Demis Roussos and Lucas Sideras. He also enjoyed succes as part of early in the eighties. A talented composer, producer and musician, Vangelis is famous for composing soundtracks to films such as 'Blade Runner', 'Chariots Of Fire' and '1492: Conquest of Paradise'. Vangelis has made over 60 albums, many of them collaborations. |
