A two guy/two girl team on Stax in the late 1960s and early '70s who had a mellow, funky sound benefiting from Gospel-tinged vocals and wah-wah guitars. Their hits we're a little racy for the time, especially "I'll Be the Other Woman," which includes the lyrics " Just as long as I'm the only one / Other than your wife.
