Courtney Jaye is a young singer-songwriter who grew up on the move, living on America's East Coast, in the South and in Hawaii. After bouncing around the U.S., she finally made it to L.A., where she landed a record deal. Her music is decidedly intended for the pop market, with elements of both country and alternative rock setting her apart from the pack. Still, with this many hooks, and such clean production, Jaye fits neatly alongside Hilary, Avril and Ashlee, although her stuff is more substantial.
