| American surf rock band from South Bay, Los Angeles, formed by Paul Johnson. Mostly known for the 1962 song "Mr. Moto".
Original members: Paul Johnson (guitar), Eddie Bertrand (guitar), Dick Dodd replaced by Richard Delvy (drums), Chas Stuart (sax) and Jim Roberts (piano).
After the group split, Chaz Stuart formed a new group, The Bel-Aires; Eddie Bertrand formed Eddie & The Showmen; Paul Johnson became a session guitarist and worked with The Good Guys, The Super Stocks and The Surfriders; Richard Delvy and Jim Roberts formed the nucleus of The Challengers. |
