Tilt came onto the Bay Area scene just as the bands who helped originally create Old-School Punk began falling apart -- and just before the rest of the world discovered it. They're now longtime Bay Area favorites who seem to never dissappoint their fans while getting new ones all the time. Anthemic, catchy as hell songs fronted by the gravel-voiced Cinder Block grab you by the throat like Punk songs used to in the old days. Simply because they're a woman-fronted band, they often get compared to bands such as X, which doesn't do Tilt justice. The older Punk bands toned down their sound as they went along; Tilt just keep gaining momentum.
