Jewish-American comedian-songwriter (March 21, 1906 – July 6, 1999) who gained fame in the 1930's and 40's by releasing risqué party records. He is best known for the 1946 release, "Shaving Cream", which brought him out of obscurity nearly 30 years later when began playing it regularly on his radio showBenny Bell was born to an immigrant Jewish family in New York City.
