If there's a genetic predetermination for making good pop songs, then Willie Wisely must have the stuff coursing through his veins. Wisely rides his sunny vocal highs skyward, tinkers on the piano, and makes acoustic guitars (too often denied happiness by overly somber types) sound like they were invented just to accompany head-bobbing pop. He even slathers on some Soul for a surprisingly seductive love song complete with quavering falsettos.
