Combining large doses of cynicism, humor, politcal sarcasm with a bad attitude ("Don't Call Me White"), NOFX has been churning out records for more than a decade. The band has inspired a good deal of the Power Punk bands that are popular today with their fast tempos and barrage of distorted guitars. NOFX possess a near-disdain for wide commercial acceptance ("Please Play this Song on the Radio") and adopt an evergreen "Go Away" stance for the fakers and scene-shakers. The band steers clear of the big promo blitz that major record lables seem so fond of, yet the kids seem to find NOFX records anyway. Who can blame 'em? Since the self-release of '91s Liberal Animation on bassist Fat Mike's Fat Wreck Chords record label (and their subsequent releases on huge punk indie label Epitaph), I'm sure they see more of the dough and pay for less shmooze hounds' steak dinners.
