Cohen is an engaging young bassist from Israel who's become a heavy-duty session player in New York, ably backing many jazz greats including Danilo Perez and Chick Corea. He originally concentrated on the electric bass, refocusing his talents on the upright acoustic instrument before becoming equally comfortable switching off. He's now added keyboards to his arsenal and combines eastern musical elements with challenging Post Bop compositions. An explorer who isn't above guiding the listener through the musical journey.
