The Outfield had a string of hits in the late 1980s by soothing the savage New Wave beast into digestible Lite Rock. This British act used ideas from such accessible acts as the Police and the Cars and then refined them with Air Supply-style studio savvy. After taking a long break, they are back with new material that features a fair share of hard rockers along with mellow ballads.
