Duncan Sheik is a talented Adult Alternative heartthrob who is still developing his songwriting voice. His work is strong on melody and mood, but his upbeat brand of bittersweet introspection has yet to match the work of Neil Finn or Lloyd Cole. That's not a slam though -- while Sheik's tunes lack a unique point of view, they work perfectly with rainy Saturdays and co-ed dorms.
