A solo emcee representing Savannah, Ga., Camoflauge got his start with Crime Affiliate, releasing an independent album called Crime Page. Soon after, he dropped his solo debut I Represent, which sold over 50,000 copies locally. Now signed to Universal, his major label debut Strictly 4 Da Streets came out in the summer of 2001, featuring his contagious single "Cut Friends." Camo's quick-tongued flow is distinctly Southern, peppered with rhymes about street life, partying and taking care of business with the ladies. Production-wise, skittering beats, thick slabs of bass, and keyboards galore are in order, fusing for a jumpy, club-centric vibe.
