Banjo player Tony Trischka was one of the leading instrumentalists of the progressive Bluegrass scene of the '70s. His style encompasses everything from classic Bluegrass to Progressive Bluegrass and many forays into jazz. He has played and recorded with most of the important innovative players from the Progressive Bluegrass movement and has recorded prolifically as a leader, most notably with his band Skyline. Trischka was a teacher to current banjo star Bela Fleck.
