Cut while she lived in London, this was McCorkle's first U.S. release and it won rave reviews and instantly established her in mainstream jazz and supper club circles. McCorkle's interpretive skills finds the perfect vehicle in Mercer's lyrics, she does particularly well in his lesser recorded numbers, especially To Have And Have Not's "How Little We Know.
