Review
Choosing Jobim for Verve's Round Midnight ballad series may be a little redundant, since the composer specialized in mellow material anyway. Still, there's no faulting the beautiful songs featured on this set, including "Passarim," the opening track, which is Jobim's heartsick and angry lament about our destruction of Brazil's natural wonders.
