If anybody informs this band that it's not 1969 anymore, things could get dangerous. Don't tell them that they live in Canada, either. You see, Tricky Woo live in the fantasy that they are rocking in the Motor City of Detroit Michigan and playing the people's music. In fact, Tricky Woo played at a Black Panther reunion party in January 1996 where two people were arrested. The funny thing is that there are so many bands (particulally in Oakland, Calif.) who try to approximate the Motor City sound and fail miserably. With the snotty-ponce vocals of a hyper-sexual front man, winding electric guitar crank, an angry rhythm section, and fast-paced throbbing rock 'n' roll songs, Tricky Woo convincingly sound like bastard sons of the Stooges and the MC5.
