CHA CHA HOGAN Vinyl Records and CDs

Aspiring vocalist / MC who had an underground hit comedy album in 1971. He fronted a The Ink Spots revival group in Las Vegas in the 1980’s. Active in the civil rights movement of the 1960s. Born in New Orleans in 1920, Cha Cha Hogan (née Sumter Hogan) was active there in the music scene as a jack-of-all-trades MC at live shows until he moved to Detroit by the 1960s. After his raunchy 1971 comedy album became an underground hit, Redd Foxx invited him to appear twice on the "Sanford And Son" TV program at the height of its popularity in the 1970s. He died in November, 1986, in Las Vegas.
