Ron Levy is a master keyboard player specializing on the Hammond B-3 organ. Born in Boston, he showed an early affinity for music and began playing professionally while still in his teens. He joined blues great Albert King's band at the age of seventeen and followed that with a seven-year tenure backing B.B. King. He also spent four years in the keyboard chair for the legendary New England-based Roomful of Blues before finally setting out on his own with his band, Wild Kingdom. His records reflect his far-reaching knowledge and swinging, soulful technique on his Jimmy Smith-style grooves, New Orleans R&B, and low-down Electric Blues. Levy has also worked extensively as a record producer for New Orleans's Black Top records.
