Finnish death metal band born in Nokia, under the initial name of Purtenance Avulsion in 1989. Changed name to Purtenance 1990 after their debut demo.
After releasing the album “Member Of Immortal Damnation" (1992), the band went into hibernation.
They have reformed in 2011 and have actively recorded more original material.
