Giving equal time to Folk-Rock lopers and intricately picked straight-folk ballads, Buerschaper approaches his art with a pointed disinterest in doing what a coffeehouse folky is supposed to do. Punctuating his songs with a warped, heavily-effected jaw harp, drum machines that actually work within the song, and unforeseen acoustic breakdowns, he stands out among his peers by performing old-school folk with a new-school sensibility.
