Representing for LA, Mack 10 caught the attention of Ice Cube in the mid-'90s and released his self-titled debut album in 1995. His conversational flows stay true to trademark Cali Gangsta rap, with lyrics that rarely stray from rollin' in the hood, runnin' game on the females, and handlin' business. In '96 Mack teamed up with Cube and WC to form Westside Connection, and released Bow Down, a gangsta-pride album fuelled by the title track single. He continues to record solo material and also runs his own label, Hoo Bangin', which showcases up-and-coming Westside G's.
