Before coming together in the late '90s, the members of the Cooper Temple Clause did time with a wide variety of bands in Reading, England, so perhaps it's fitting that their sound is the amalgamation of a diverse gene pool. Signed in 2001, the Cooper Temple Clause released the EP Hardware/Warfare the following year to glowing reviews. Winning over fans and critics alike via a number of exhausting tours, the band capitalized on their hard work with the release of their debut album See This Through and Leave. The album combined the brashness of Oasis with Radiohead's claustrophobic intensity and filtered it all through a post-grunge sieve. Stellar reviews ensued, and eventually the band's debut netted a whopping five singles. In 2004, the Cooper Temple Clause released their sophomore effort Kick Up the Fire, And Let the Flames Break Loose.
