Along with the 'King of Rai' Cheb Khaled, Cheb Hasni is one of Rai's leading figures, though he hasn't quite broken out of Algeria and France like Khaled. His songs are syrupy and countless -- he seems to always be releasing a new album with his strong, winding vocals and light, romantic backing.
