Review
This tasty album matches dapper jazz singer Williams with the bluesy Marlena Shaw, the cool-toned Shirley Horn, and the Charlie Parker tribute group Supersax. Instead of the diverse styles clashing, the set stays focused on Joe and is completely on the money, with Williams doing the best version of Ellington's "I Ain't Got Nothin' But the Blues" that you'll ever hear.
