Trapt's first song since 2002 finds the melodic metal band picking up where it left off. "Stand Up" flexes major muscle at the chorus, with the requisite atmospheric lead-in proving effective. Sometimes it seems like Nirvana's quiet/loud formula was the most important thing to happen to music since Roger Daltry got a perm.
