Review
This comp gathers material from Shriekback's first incarnation in the early 1980s. At their most basic, they were a New Wave dance act. But there was an intelligence to the songs and an originality to the music that holds up. The opening track, "Lined Up," shows the band at its best; Dave Allen's fantastic bass work turns the track into a cerebral dancefloor killer.
