Review Having played on records with Azteca, Pete Escovedo (her dad) and George Duke, Sheila E. was already an established drummer when Prince "discovered" her. On her Prince-produced solo debut, she comes into her own as a vocalist and songwriter, resulting in excellent '84-style jams like the hit title track and the sizzling instrumental "Strawberry Shortcake.
