Review This album pulses with restrained energy. Though produced by George Harrison, Chants of India is not his show, nor is it Ravi Shankar's: the focus is entirely on Hindu religious chants, and no ego or technique gets in the way of their delivery. The result is captivating, rewarding and even calming. Well worth repeated listens.
