Review A longtime percussionist (and son of jazz star Jimmy Heath), Mtume began releasing solo albums in the late 1970s and scored his first No. 1 hit with "Juicy Fruit," the title track from his fifth LP. (Puff Daddy would later sample it for Biggie's classic single "Juicy.") This entire record is great -- all big beats, slick vocals and chunky, early-'80s funk.
