Review
Perhaps their defining platter, Django shows off John Lewis' elegant compositions (and his interest in expanding the jazz vocabulary), Milt Jackson's peerless vibes solos and the elegant chamber music dynamics of the entire group on standards. The title track is a tribute to Django Reinhardt and this may just be the most autumnal "Autumn In New York" ever.
