An underrated gem from Lou Reed's back catalog, this disc exists in its own musical universe of chugging rhythms, confessional lyrics, and drifting horn figures. This is the sound of a walk through the city, as snippets of conversation from open windows and music from several different bars combine into something oddly compelling. Don't let "Disco Mystic" put you off.
