Review
Two early '70s Hampton Hawes albums -- Playin' in the Yard and Northern Windows -- under one roof. Yard captures Hawes on electric keyboards, live in Montreux (very tasty), while Windows backs his lean, propulsive acoustic piano style with a glossy jazz-funk outfit. Grooves galore, though Hawes' earlier albums display his true pianio genius.
