Review
Nobody knows less is more better than Diana Krall. She takes Tom Waits' "Temptation" out of the baroque pachinko parlor and lands it in a smoky gin joint circa 1999, finding a lyricism obscured in the original. "I'll Never Be The Same" follows suit; backed only by piano, the slightest crack in Krall's voice speaks volumes.
