Lost Songs gathers together the mountain of material that never made it onto White Ladder minus the beats and electro touches that usually ruin David Gray's best songs. The album provides sketches of a particularly difficult period in the singer's life. The best moments here are as good as anything by the Waterboys or Van Morrison. Well, almost Van Morrison.
