Review Berry's debut didn't do much in the way of chart performance in 1957, butthe album is on fire within the first few seconds of "Too Much MonkeyBusiness." He alternates innuendo with what would end up being the mostinfluential guitar sound in rock 'n' roll. "School Days" and "Brown-EyedHandsome Man" epitomize Berry's dirty brilliance.
