Different Stripe bounces easily between pop-country balladry from Wheeler's Capitol Nashville days ("Moonlight and Roses"), polished acoustic fingerpicking ("When Fall Comes to New England") and contemporary folk (the ebullient "Gandhi/Buddha"). With two previously unreleased tracks, this album serves as both a souvenir for fans and as a primer for those unfamiliar with Wheeler's work.
