The Butthole Surfers surprised just about everyone in the world when they managed to turn "Pepper" into an alt-radio hit in '96. The entire album may not be as much as a mind-bending freakout as their earlier sessions, but the band are still making a hard-to-pin concoction of punk rock, psychedelia and just-plain oddness.
