Anyone who ever thought Blue Cheer were merely a proto metal band that had a hit with "Summertime Blues" will be blown away by this compilation. It shows how they started out by dipping blues riffs into a lysergic strain of loud, hard psychedelia before changing their lineup and finding a more acoustic sound.
