Quiet Riot are distinguished for having the highest charting debut album by a Metal band with Metal Health (1983). The band scored a big hit with a remake of Slade's "Cum On Feel the Noize." Before all this, the band had been a popular Sunset Strip club band, whose original guitar player, the late Randy Rhoads, was instrumental in reviving the career of Ozzy Osbourne. The band made two more albums and each sold less than the last. They broke up in 1998 after firing follicle-challenged singer Kevin Dubrow. The late '90s saw the band back together with Dubrow, and Dubrow surprisingly back together with his hair via a wig/hat that isn't fooling anyone.
