Review
A real treasure, PDQ Live captures saxophonist Paul Desmond in concert with his Canadian quartet, which featured unsung guitar hero Ed Bickert. A wonderful spotlight for the soon-to-be-departed Desmond and his ever-tasteful, melodically creative and tonally perfect alto work, though his democratic approach means there are extended bass and drum solos on every cut.
