And she's performed songs by songwriters as varied as brooding Country Pop balladeer Steve Earle, the late Nick Drake, the Replacements' Paul Westerberg and Singer-Songwriter Paul Kelly. Beyond sheer good taste -- and genuine songwriting ability on her own part -- her music is rooted in honesty and candid glimpses of home life, all borne on Willis' velveteen voice.
