Review
This 1969 release was a major comeback for Elvis, both critically and personally -- it's his first record away from the drudgery of his Hollywood years and you can hear the change. The choice of material is impeccable, and the deep fried Country Soul he nails here is an idiom in which he would only get better over the last eight years of his career.
