A talented singer who got her start singing in Pentacostal churches when she was a girl, Shaloma first came to attention as the lead singer of the girl group Natural Beauty. In 1993 Shaloma joined Mad Professor's Ariwa label and released Slavery soon after. The album was renamed Good Vibrations when it was released on CD.
